big tree Can't you just hear Mike commenting on how much firewood this would yield? and how many winters it would get us through? (beyond our lifetime, I'm sure)
almost looks familiar This looks almost like the Grand Mesa in the fall! Sorry to have gotten so far behind on your postings. Too sick for too long...couldn't keep up.
Safe travels! Can't tell you how much I enjoyed your whole trip and all the beautiful pictures! It did go by quickly. What a beautiful country that is and I can't wait for your book, Lowell. It's such a blessing to be able to travel and see all that you did, but it's always still, wonderful to come home. So safe travels and hope to see more pictures once you've sorted them all out! God bless,...Jenny
Wave at me Hello to you two! Have enjoyed so much your trip vicariously! I am just arrived in Singapore after a total time of 26hr and 40 min. A Tuesday was just stolen from my life ( weird isn't it!). Wave if you fly over me! Can't wait to know you're home safely. It hasn't been above freezing for a month so be ready! I have my down coat here in Singapore. Was so glad to have it when I left GJ at -12degrees (a record). Hydrate! love ya, Jenna

Museum Looks like a pretty neat museum, couldn't have been too painful, even had an RV.
22 degrees here this morning and overcast. Have a great day and thanks for the update!
Hi, love the Hi mate sheep! Also the yellow bike! I have enjoyed the travelogue and beautiful photography and will miss it, but glad you'll be coming home!
Love the photos! I have so enjoyed seeing the photos. Probably the closest I will ever get to NZ... The water is such a beautiful color. Ready for you to come home!
I think the tour bus has more than 1/2 of the road-looks like some of those winding little roads in northern Italy. There are some beautiful places there. You better enjoy the 85 degrees- it hasn't gotten above freezing for almost two weeks and forecast says it won't get above 32 for at least one more week. it has been cold, cold cold here. The elk were in the back yard this morning so i guess it is officially winter.
I love your blog and pictures!! I will miss your comments and pictures. I've so enjoyed it!! Watching a Packer playoff game,...they're winning!! Yeah,..go Pack!! Your Broncos aren't doing too bad these days either. Oh that's right, you're from MN. Sorry to tell you the Packers just beat the Vikings,...but then again,..what's new? They always do....ahaaaaa!! Just kidding!! Safe travels,...and keep the pictures and stories coming!! Jenny
On the road... with Lowell and Gloria... 70 days, wow - sure went fast. I'm curious, after 70 days on the road have you seen any bus-holes down there? If there are any, where do they stay? Are there any motorhomes or campgrounds in NZ for bus-holes (and the likes)?
That 15 mph road looks pretty neat, (beautiful)!
Thanks for the update!
Those trees... are enormous! Glad you're still on a roll after all these weeks. Great job!
Don't forget to post a photo of what you are eating down there.
Thanks!
Sunday Fabulous pictures! We are in Colorado Springs at our kids house for New Years and Ahmi's birthday yesterday! We watched Lord of the Rings last night which they are all into and Doug said it was all filmed in New Zealand! He knows someone who lives and works there in the business. He actually could go live there and work there if he wanted! We are going to go to church soon so better go. Love you! Oh, we ate and played cards at John and Elaine's Fri and she is doing much better. Goes to Dr. K. Tomorrow. Love, Sharon
Hello NZ Hi Lowell and Gloria,
The photos of Lake Wanaka and Waktipu are awesome. The gas station out in the sticks one is pretty cool also. Looking forward to discussing your trip with you one on one, perhaps in Stillwater MN sometime.
Five degrees and sunny here today.
Oh the Lupines!!! Your pictures are a sight for sore eyes on this chilly 4 degree morning here in WI. CO has had some very cold temps lately too, so you took the best time to get out of there!! All the green, the lakes, the animals, are just beautiful. And how did you arrange to have all the houses where you stay with such big windows with such gorgeous views??!! Just sitting here waiting for the sun to come up a bit more to possibly bring things up a degree or two so I can go out to feed my animals. Brrrr,...wish I was there with you all. So happy you are having such a good time. God bless,....
