Thanks to Marcus, Jeremy and Ollie being much better at surfing than me, I (I mean we) decided to spend some time learning how to do it because apparently it is pretty big out here! We were picked up from Hexham Station (aka middle of nowhere) at 10:00 and the coach proceeded to the Waves Surf Camp at Seal Rocks. By the time we had eaten lunch and got to the beach it was around 14:00 which gave us around 2 hours surfing time. Our first afternoon was spent at Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Beach where, although a little messy, the waves were gentle enough for everybody to try and apply what had been taught in the lesson.
