I have come to the city of Chengdu. On May 12, 2008, many buildings in Chengdu were flattened and others affected severely by an large magnitude earthquake..if memory serves me, it was around 6.2. Apparrently, while I slept last night, there was a magnitude 5.6 earthquake in the area. After having an insanely spicy, traditional Sichuan HotPot meal with a couple of new friends from my hotel, I tried to chill my stomach with many, many 500ml local beers...explaining why I didn't feel the quake. In my last entry, I wanted to explain the pecking order of the traffic in the cities...it seems to be consistent with all the cities I have visited so far.
