I have melted with jealousy This article has just inspired me to see more of the world! Its amazing how you have been made so welcome by a totally different culture.
Oh, and Iza almost passed out after seeing such vibrant colours (Turkish/Indian spices) and architecture (Egypt) :D
Lachlan and Brigid: Just want to say hi and tell you that I have been enjoying your blog immensely! Keep up the funny captions and pics. Saint Louis misses you both..
Darjeling Loved your photos. The mountain villages and surrounding area are very picturesque, but then I am like mountains. You probably got some interesting local information from the hotel owner when he picked you up and took you around with his family. P.S. Lachlan I like you hat!!
hey guys, i'm loving the blog. I think this instalment is my favourite so far...i'm so jealous. The scenery looks stunning and you are in the home of tea! how perfect. Let me know if you meet Earl Grey...
Authentic Luxor much cooler than the casino Ryan and I were in Las Vegas recently, staying at Mandalay Bay, which was connected to the Luxor casino. The real place looks way more fun! Wish I was Ernst, hitching a ride on your backpacks....
Wow! I have a strong urge to send you a parcel of medicated hand gel after reading your descriptions of the loos... never leave home without it myself! Sounds like you are having a fabulous time and it makes me very jealous as I sit here at work watching rubbish telly. Look forward to seeing and hearing lots more. xxx
Hey lets keep the cubs wisecracks down to a minimum! ;) pitchers and catchers report soon enough! L and B, keep up the good work! BU season opener Nov 10 at UIC! We are there, preseason picks for the most part have BU 2nd behind SIU this year...
Festival of Colors!!!! Hello!!!! I am so glad to be back. My last comment was in Transylvania. I love the Indian Festival of Colors and the Festival of Holi and Lackshmi. It is so funny how they paint the sacred cow.
Call me soon. I want to meet you in Argentina.
Yes - I agree - your lives will not ever be the same.....but I'm sure that's why you're making the trip. A friend of mine had similar experiences in India...not the best.
Take care of yourselves! TINA
ahhhh India. I'm sorry to hear you've hit reality in India with the poverty. You'll never look at things the same. However, Goa is the party capital of India! Think Key West during spring break! Also- have you realized that NONE of the men on TV are good looking, but all the women are absolutely beautiful? No wonder why there is a rebellion against arranged marriages from Indian women!
Re: Lachlan is a sissy Butterfly stitches...?! SUPERGLUE!???
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Yes... I have heard of them... the whole of India however, has NOT!
:)
Lachlan is a sissy Poor Lachlan, getting a cut that didn't even need ONE stitch! Haven't you heard of butterfly band aids? Or even slapping a little super glue on it? I'm sure you'd do splendidly in combat.
Lachlan: 28 years old, born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. Moved to the USA in April 2002 'for' Brigid, who is now my wife of almost 2 years. Sporty, goofy scientist, about to quit my job in genetics to travel the world for 10 months.
Likes: food, beer, wine and feather duvets
Dislikes: shopping, pain, passive aggressive VISA/immigration people
Interesting fact: If anyone asks, I am not 'the brain'
Brigid: yeah, ok, now 29 years old, born and raised in St. Louis, MO (USA), home of Budweiser and Cardinals baseball. Married to crazy, 'out there' Scottish guy for two happy years. Anot... full info
