Glad you're back Thanks for the great look at the Explorer. We are booked on Navigator for Christmas this year - Miami to Honlulu. Regent does Christmas well! Are you doing anything else this wnter? We are off to New Zealand for 6 weeks. All the best for the New Year. Tessa and Henry
Henry?Tessa Ahoy you two! Good to hear from you.How is the United States project progressing? We haven’t heard much lately.
All’s well on the home front. If you recall, our good friend Stephanie at Google got transferred from Sausalito to Auckland.
She bought a neat house in Devonport. After a year they moved her to Singapore and made her a Senior VP! We only got
to visit her once while in NZ. We have also visited her in Singapore. Saw her this summer in San Francisco and she’s doing great.
We love NZ almost as much as you do! Susan’s brother Steve is still in New Plymouth. He’s a golfer, surfer, skier and traveller.
Like all of us!
Happy trails to you until we meet again.
Love from the two of us,
Kevin?Susan
PS—we now live 9 months in Florida and 3 in Sausalito. Nice combo.

Again??? You guys. How you hate to travel--HA!! Give me more confidence to maybe book on this new monster. Was reluctant because of increased sze having been spoiled by Mariner, Voyager, etc. Was 18 years ago when June and I went aboard Mariner, just 6 month old then. Fell in love with her then and still. World cruise on Explorer with you and Capt Daqg in 09-another adventure together.
Keep it up. Gives us "oldies" hope to maybe do it again.
Am I jealous--you bet!!
Hsppy New Yeare

Madeira Your comments brought back happy memories. We first visited the island about 40 years ago and of course one of the highlights was sledding down that narrow steep passage. We loved that experience, so of course repeated it when last there about fifteen years ago. What I particularly remember that second time was that I loved the sled ride EVEN MORE second time around. Just the fact of repeating such a unique experience brought "over the top" joy to us. Interesting about the asphalt; that takes half the fun away for "riding the cobbles" which added to the thrill of the experience.
We stayed at Reid's, and of course remember the Churchill connection. I remember there was a "Godiva" chocolate shop just a short walk from where we were docked. I stopped in and purchased sweets for some of the crew members who looked after us while on board.
Thanks to Lindblad, for taking us to so many unique destinations; experiences we wouldn't trade for all the "stuff" in the world. After all, at the end of the day it is our life experiences that count. Surely you'll agree.
Got the lowdown on the Viking Sky fiasco. My friend Susan Dollberg, who along with her husband was winched off onto the helicopter, couldn't say enough about how the whole event was handled with the utmost calm and efficiency. The company's owner even flew out from L.A. to see that all was handled in the best way possible. Also, Susan tells me everyone was VERY WELL recompensed.
That's all for now; hope to see you next time.
