final scene Knowing what I know about your very irregular rehearsal schedule for that final scene, I am so glad you were able to :"throw her to the floor" like a rag doll! Could it be you were releasing some pent up emotions?? is that Method or just repressed anger!! Glad it was so convincing. There is great satisfaction in taking charge and being in control even when you appear to be out of control. Sounds like she got what she deserved!! everyones applause!! Enjoy your week! Have you thought of seeing La Cage Aux Folles ? It could make up for missing Prisilla!!! take care , Ken
reviews The Star has added a New York Times section to their Sunday paper and the Reviews I read were .....Excellent!!! .. quality performance... real stage presence , sang with heart and soul.. destined for greatness...didn't want it to end...another new talent on the horizon.. sang with real gusto [ like Ethel would] Congratulations.. so glad everything is working out so well. Ken PS. If your stage career doesn't blossom they way you would like you should certianly consider writing.. you have such a beautiful flow to your narrative and your words so vivid, descriptive and written with such emotion. I really enjoy the read. Maybe we can collaborate on your/our first novel. Won't retirement be fun. Ciao, Ken
Are you ready for your close-up! Hi Kevin.... I hope you are enjoying this wonderful, dramatic experience. We'll soon be seeing your name in the lights of Broadway!
I hope you are well and that life is being good to you.
I miss you at Palmerston.
Take care.
Sheila
live on stage in Toronto Tonight we saw a wonderful example of talent that goes on and on and seems to get better with age. Barbara Cook sang her tits off and put on quite a show of old , new and the obscure songs. She will be 83 in a few days. but ooooo can she perform. Take care and remember those little wrinkles that you are so worried about are just the hint of your life expereinces and a tease as to what really lies below. ....The wonderful character that it you.!!!! If you've got it ... .. flaunt it!!!!
Sing out Louise Can you convert the Ragtmie song intosomething Ms. Ross might do? I can't imagine you being all stressout wuiththe singing part. You have such stage presence and certainly know how to milk a crowd [ but then they are not all your fans yet... or are they!!!] As for rubbing shoulders withthe STARS of Broadway .... I am not surprised. Laura Linney is one of my favourites and I think destined for some major award soon!! All the best with your performances and being nervous is absolutely natural.. even Barbra S has had problems before performances .. probably still does. .. break a leg!! or if necessary show some leg.. you never know who is out there watching. Ken

Wow!!! Hi Kevin, I am sooooo jealous. So great to hear that New York is all that you expected (good and bad) and MORE. Toronto is a great city but lacks the passion - having come from the project it would be nice to experience a real emotion from one of our inhabitants, once in awhile. Enjoy hearing from you. Take care, Lauren
how refreshing What a treat to read your recent blog[ hate that word] You write so beautifully and I can sence you are absorbing the many vibes of NY.and i guess you are right ... there is a connection in some strange way. But the wealth and energy of the city is something you cnannot escape. Keep on enjoying every moment of it!! take care . Ken
Perspective... you're in NYC! I am so excited for you... keep posting details... I want to live vicariously through you. Regarding your Toronto-based taxi-induced injury..... we don't have to be as careful here... we have health insurance! Have fun! xoxoxox
I'm 51 and enjoying a one-year sabbatical after 24 years of teaching. I'm about to embark on many adventures and want to share everything (well, almost everything) with my family and friends. ... full info
