surviving the road of death!! What a great adventure! Glad you´re meeting great people along the way to share experiences with. You´d be so proud of how effortlessly I completed my last travel blog...a good teacher makes all the difference!
Un abrazo, querida amiga. Jill
cuzco partying! Hi Katharina
Guess you didn´t use your Spanish too much in Cuzco! I´m checking your blog from Jean Brown´s office (free broadband). This morning I took the last of the Volunteer Engineers to the airport....a truly amazing experience with them!! Now, three more wks in Quito to sort out my own stuff.
Un abrazo. time to read your next blog....Jill
gonna miss you chica! What fun travelling with you, and then reading about it in your blog!
FOR SURE I´ll see you again soon, somewhere in Latin America or elsewhere in the world. Un abrazo fuerte....Jill
Nice! Great photos particularly of the waterfall! Where is that? We are off there in 3 days time from Merida. Where did you stay? Was it good? How much was it for double room? cheers. Rich and San.
Amazing Your photos are fantastic...I feel as green as that chameleon. Your 'bus' moment is very funny...that moment when you just long for sealed roads, air con vehicles and a strong drink!! keep allowing the rest of us to be armchair travellers xxxx
coastal splendours!! K - I loved reading your Manabi blog -- Your "bus moment" made me giggle. Fortunately, we´ll have Morci for our Otavalo and environs explorations!! I`ve been picking people´s brains to find out the best places to visit. Looking forward to seeing you (day after tomorrow!) Good luck using up those 10 hours!!! Un beso Jill
heads shoulders knees and toes heads shoulders knees and toes in GERMAN was part of last weeks Primary 7 (Year 6) assembly in rural Aberdeenshire! So your young ones are doing well! Enjoyed all the pics but especially interested to see your teaching conditions. The kids look like a happy bunch and I'm sure they love having you there. How long is their day? Do they get lunch? Keep 'em coming!
Me encanta Cuba! Hi Katharine!!
I'm so happy to see these photos, It otally fell in love with Cuba. I had amazing time during the rest of my trip to María la Gorda. It's white sandy beaches as far as you can see, and not a soul.. isolated resort! Beautiful! When you finally get to María la Gorda you find the only hotel and people who are mainly interested in scuba diving, so I had something common with everybody there. Had a really good time. The equipment, staff and the diving landscape was really the best I've experienced so far:) Gotta luv Cuba, I will be back and I really hope it doesn't change much.
Too bad I missed your email when I got back to Habana, but I didn't have an access to email. I wish I was travelling with you, seems really fascinating. Take care and keep sending updates.
Keep in touch, hugs,
Satu

Thank you I have read this entry and found it insightful and very interesting. I hope to be in Cuba around November time and will use this information. I hope in two weeks to hire a car and go down the east coast. May not happen, lack of Spanish and where to go etc but still, I think it is an ace place that will lose this when the brothers die.
Fantastic pics! It's so great to be able to follow you on your travels! Looks fantastic - keep the blog and piccies coming.......... We're off to La belle France on Friday - nowhere near in the same league! Oh well..... one day........ xx
