Dearest John... You are a hoot. I haven't stopped laughing yet. Wait. Should I be laughing? Mike and I stink, yes, because we forgot about your box of goodies, but it is now on my weekend to-do list. Swear. Keep writing. These are absolutely priceless. I can't wait to see some pictures someday, but again, don't stress about it. I believe the mind pictures are better anyway. Does the break dancing count as a completed task?
titans in playoffs Saturday the Titans play Baltimore here at home(playoffs). Keegan is consumed with Titan talk this week. We are anxious along with you on your assignment. Great things are coming your way. Love you, Mom
Rambling is good! Rambling about a different country is always interesting. You could be another Hunter S. Thompson, stream of consciousness type stuff. Hope you get the national park!
Happy New Year! I want a picture of you with that placard and a detailed description of everyone's reaction. You crack me up. Mike and I will be getting a package ready for you soon. Thanks for the list of goodies you need. I'm going to throw in some wicking socks for good measure. Humid, moldy feet are not healthy.
i can't believe your gone. i look at pictures of you and it makes me feel better. These emails make it seem like you never left. That's awesome your learning all those different languages. new year's eve in a different country has to be in a top ten of new experiences.i love you and i can't wait to hear about what happens next.
12 hours til we sleep thru it Sounds like your sense of humor is still in tact. I believe your new year(s) started last month. Oh and keep you your clothes on, I hear there's an Aids epidemic over there. I miss you and love you lots...
Hey John! Thanks for keeping up to date on how things are goin in Ethiopia. It's always exciting to hear from you. I know Chris would like to get these sent directly to his email, christopher.woodling@wku.edu, so add him to the list. I can't imagine what the food is like over there. I'm such a picky eater. I had a hard time when we went to Europe and that's pretty sad. Have a great day!
Missing you! I ordered your Chacos, so as soon as I get them, I will be sending you a package with them and some other goodies! I am so proud of you John. I can't wait to see your pictures. Soak it all up and come back to us! I love you so much and I miss you everyday!
Miss ya! hey hey!
i miss you lots more then i could have ever imagined. This morning i was the last person to wake up, which was very weird. We played this board game called "Last Word" which was something that would be right up your alley! You have a stack of cards with categories and a stack with letters of the alphabet, and you have to think of a word that fits in the category and starts with the letter. The person that can get the last one in before the buzzer gets the point. With your quick wit, i think you would be awesome. We saved you a christmas cracker/popper. :]
i know you hear it from everyone, but we all miss you!
Merry Christmas, i love you very much.

Christmas We are together for Christmas, and your reading your Christmas entry is the highlight of our day. We are practicing on the trivia games so we can beat you when you get home. Puzzles and other things(not too sure about the cheese) are on the way. We found out that it wsn't you making the silent but deadly's. We love you so much and are so very proud of you, Mom, Dad, Allie, Emily and Hannah
Wishing you the best Hi John
I am at Grandmas and it is Christmas eve - just saw a print out of your blog. Wanted to tell you how much we all wish you were here but also very glad that you are getting engaged in Ethiopia. It is always good to remember the name of the Corp Peace Corp and to make peace in the world is the best you can do!!
Love from all of us
Bob
A tub and a bucket? Is this indoors or out? Are we talking electricity? Sounds like your host father is a good guy. I am loving driving your car, it runs great!
package Hey buddy,
I move back in with my parents in a matter of days. Mj without you is going to suck, but I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. I didn't know you could receive packages. I'm going to try to send you a box of goodies. So expect something.. at some point.
hey john. i am glad i get to hear from you as often as i do. it seems like you're learning a lot about life. i am just working; i can't really tell if i'm learning much other than trying to get out of debt lol.
i talked to a friend and he said to try to say this to you. i'm not sure if it's the language you are speaking or not, but i think he said "endemen nah/nesh" means good morning or how are you, i'm not really sure. i think one is feminine and the other is masculine. again, i'm not sure if you actually speak this or even what it means, but i'm curious.
i certainly do miss you, and i'm glad to hear that you are safe. you will be in my thoughts. i love you.
Cold and nasty ice here... IL gov. Bladonvitch (?) is up on corruption charges for trying to sell Obama's replacement seat in the Senate..got him on phone tap but he refuses to leave. Pretty interesting. Seen any cool animals, esp. reptiles?
Dear John,
Wow! they had you leave toot sweet! Got a question for you, and I apologize for bringing up business. Do you remember how much money you took with you to Kenya for basket buying? Lauren's trying to work up her final report and needs that number. Don't stress with the pictures. Remember how long it took to even get the Internet up in Voi. Sooooo not worth the trouble.
John! I am really enjoying reading your journal entries! I am glad that you made it safe and are doing well. I am thinking of you as I take my law school exams - definitely wish I had joined the peace corps instead. =) Best of luck - can't wait to see pictures.
