After all mexican police seems to be not as bad as are portrayed in the media, which gives you a sense of security, in spite of all the warnings from the US goverment.
Kudos I LOVE the picture of the agava plants at the beginning of the blog. What a cool shot. And I agree... that church is awesome! What a cool week for you all.
Guadalajara 4 hours!! 4 hours to Guadalajara, that is true if you go in bus, but not if you go driving the car, the buses by law drive at 95km/h while in a car you can go as fast as 130km/h so you can do it in 3 hours.

Jeffs increasing waistline You know all of us here in the colddddd and ice have good reason to gain a little extra over the winter months. But NOT you, so stop eating so much, and also we don't like hearing about all the wonderful culinary creations and the fresh fruits and veggies! What are you trying to do? Make us more depressed than we already are here in the freezing Mid west:(
Love the view! Do you guys go to a hotel like every week? Just kidding, but it seems like it. It looks so beautiful there and I want to come visit! Have fun and enjoy your time there, cause you will be home soon enough!

Sounds like fun! Reading about all your adventures sounds like such a great time. Makes me want to leave my work world and come and enjoy margaritas and shopping with you all. I'm so jealous that Kristina gets to come and enjoy it with you! I look forward to reading more about your adventures.
Greetings from MJHS! Hello Rubels! Mrs. Ferrell forwarded your site to me and it looks as though things are going well! Your pics are beautiful and your school looks like a lot of fun! Miss seeing you in the hall, Haley! Best wishes!!!
Madison--we hope you are feeling better! It sounds like you guys are having a great trip!! Madison we hope your arm is okay! The colonial city is beautiful. Jeff, we hope you have better luck getting your buses--although the walk sounds wonderful and the corn sounded delicious--could you send us that recipe! Take care and we look forward to more info. from you Mexicanos!
Beautiful city Wow, what a beautiful place. Cincinnati is cold, grey and miserable.
We had 4" of snow on Sunday and that was fun, but the leftover snow is not. What I wouldn't give to be able to walk out and enjoy the things that you all are able to do. I love the journal. It makes me want to go visit central Mexico. I am glad Haley & Madison are adjusting and liking their school. It sounds like a really neat one to go to. Looking forward to reading more during your stay.
Happy New Year! I truly enjoy seeing Mexico thru your eyes! What an incredible experience so far. We will all be anxious to see you in July when we join you in Ohio!! Hope Madison has recovered.
After 15 years of law practice and working as a partner in a mid-sized law firm I said, "enough!" I checked-out and started teaching at a University. I love it and will never go back. My wife and I like to travel and in 2007 we lived for 6 months in Queretaro, Mexico with our kids. We thought it was great. I now try to visit Mexico, Central America or South America at least once yearly! ... full info
