We are home and enjoying reading every one of your blogs.
Judy and Joe: Your blogs are up to your Australia and New Zealand standards. We love them. We agree with Tom Swan that your photographs are excellent. We have been doing 25th anniversary of the Yellowstone fires stuff. Can you believe that it was 24 years ago that you came to Yellowstone? Now, back to more of your great blogs. Thanks so much for including us.

Windmill
Surely you didn't climb it!

Windmill
No, we didn't climb it. It was expensive but don't think I would have if it had been free.

Hey Judy, I'm really enjoying viewing your blog each. Some of your photos are wonderful, and all of them are interesting. Thanks for including me in updates of your blog. Tom

Sainte-Anne-des-Monts

Thanks, Tom.
Photos in Canada aren't nearly as fun as other places. Mostly trees and water, but this is an area of the continent we've never been to before so it is interesting to us.

Keeping up
Enjoying every bit of your trip....that is funny that Joe would think your reflection was you!!! Very unusual circumstances.

French in Quebec
When we there in 1961, our 1 and only time, French sounded just like what I grew up hearing in Zurich, Palco and Damar. It was still used by the Canadian/French people on our telephone party line and sometimes by the C/F when they talked to one another in town. Maybe that was all gone by the time you were growing up.

French
Very interesting about the French speakers around Palco, Damar and Zurich. No, I don't think I ever heard anyone speaking French when I lived there. We did call the Damar kids "Frogs", though.

Poutine
I am watching Cooking Channel and they are doing this Quebec food dish called Poutine. It looks like the ingredients would kill you if you ate it all the time but you should try it----probably at a bar type restaurant or a food truck. Thought you might be able to fine it there. J&D

Poutine
If you go back and look at my entry for Ottawa, you will see that we tried it there. It really is delicious but very filling and we couldn't see eating a very big portion. It's just french fries, gravy and cheese curds. I'd heard about it for years so wondered what the big deal was.

Wow, just like I remember. Beautiful pictures and we are loving going on the trip with you. So glad Joe caught the umbrella!!! You two should become travel agents or publish trips to take with all the places to stay, eat and visit. Thanks for the blog. J&D

LOVED theh pictures.
It has not changed a bit since we were there 12 years ago! Such a lovely "European" place. When we were there we sat at an outdoor cafe next to a family from Georgia. They were trying hard to speak French to the waitress. She was having trouble understanding the French with a Southern Drawl. The waitress finally said, plainly, "I speak English!" We enjoyed the military maneuvers on the grounds of the fort.

We\'re having a great time; however, Jim should probably go to bed when Ben does. Between playing, pulling Ben in the red wagon (we finally got it down here) and assisting me with his bath- I think Jim\'s worn out :-D

Just started reading your blogs this morning. It does make me want to hasten my trip to eastern Canada somewhat, but it won't happen this year. Our friends just returned from their trailer trip to eastern Canada and the Maritimes, they really enjoyed it. I read an 800 page history of Canada last year and am anxious to travel to the first settlement areas I read about. I will be watching your entries and taking notes!! BTW: Joe's right, Quebecers don't consider themselves Canadian. I never had time to see Montreal on my layovers, so will enjoy a bit more time there. Love your entires!!

Thanks!
Love to learn something new; while I'm not a cheese fan- can't have much due to the yeast in most processes- this is fascinating.
