Beautiful photos! Such a lovely blog and beautiful photos. I have just written a blog about Lucerne, except mine was a travel story from the past (1993) and I couldn't do justice to the memory or the place. You have managed to do that for me, so thank you! We also didn't have the opportunity to see as much as what you could, unfortunately as we only spent about 2 days there. Looking forward to reading more of your blogs.
Wonderful Blog! Stunning images abound in this fascinating narrative - there are so many beautiful photographs that it is difficult to even choose my five favourites! Pity that you had problems on entering Ecuador, it is such a shame that some passports and complexions are harder to travel on and with than others. Don't let those prejudices deter you - keep travelling, writing and photographing - and hopefully it is not another three years before your next blog appears.
Thank you Thank you for your pictures. I'm playing "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven which was originally called "Sonata Quasi una Fantasia" (Sonata in the Style of a Fantasy) but a critic wrote that the first movement reminded him of "moonlight on Lake Lucerne" and therefore the public called it "Moonlight Sonata" and it is now Beethoven's most popular piece. Thank you for your pictures they helped me with my piano playing and deeper understanding of this piece. http://www.1stpiano.com/beethoven-moonlight-sonata/ (THAT WEBSITE IS WHERE YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE PIECE THERE IF YOU WISH)
Thanks. Wish you a great trip. Hope you see a lot of bears catching a lot of salmons. Mid July is just about perfect time to see that wildlife spectacle.
Will take this trip, July 12, 2009 Your pictures are great! Glad that you found the trip to be educational and worthwhile.
We have been planning this trip for a year. THANKS FOR SHARING FOR THE WORLD TO SEE.
Love your pictures!!!
Oh Yes. I saw one bear catch 2 salmons. Others were just looking:). However, no salmons jumped over the falls. And yes 3 hours passed just like that even in a persistent drizzle!
