We left Queenstown at 7.30am for Dunedin which is on the south east coast. It is the second largest city in the south behind Christchurch. Dunedin is Celtic for Edinburgh and it definately has a Scottish feel to it! It's also home to the first university in NZ. Its a really nice place, it seems much bigger and busier than Christchurch. About 100,000 people live here and 40,000 of those are students. We both got good vibes from this place! We got a taxi to our hostel as it was up quite a steep hill...but worse was yet to come! We stayed at a place called Chalet backpackers which is a lovely victorian place with really high ceilings and a hugh kitchen. The lonely planet guide said there are rumours that it is haunted so
