Orite mate, Thailand looks amazing looking at all your photos and blogs. I've really enjoyed reading about your travels. Temples look so good and can't believe it cost you 7 quid for that coke, hope you drank it slowly haha. Looking forward to hearing about your time in the jungle pal! Love Liam
Alan Whickeresque Well Graeme, I am so impressed with how much you have packed in, in these early days of your adventure. I have certainly enjoyed reading and looking at all your correspondence, as it has been both very entertaining and interesting. Mr Alan Wicker (i dont Know if you remember him, he was a TV travel explorer in the 70s and 80s) would be proud of you. Where all really looking forward to your further tales of adventure and exploration. Keep happy and healthy; all the best the 5marshalls.
Hello Hi Greame... sat here reading your report drinking a bottle of Theakstons XB. All your pics take me back to when we were there, great country. When in Chaing Mai we did a jungle safari on an elephant which was great fun, might be worth a try. Camera seems to be working well keep um coming with plenty of sun on them as It's freezing over here and plenty of snow. Look forward to your next log.
Enjoyed this educational blog Hi Graeme, good to hear from you again and to hear about your railway and other travels.Very snowy here so you're not missing anything that's for sure. Enjoy your weekend and further travels

Thanks for the feedback Duncan, glad you're enjoying it. I think several years of report writing have helped me hone my skills. I'll be coming back armed with a year's worth of "safety moment" material, including stairs with NO HANDRAIL. I imagine some of the folks at your place would have a heart attack here!
Loving the blogs Good stuff mate, sounds like you're having a great time and meeting some interesting people. Wish I'd found that street of bars sounds much better than where we were in Bangkok!
Jet Lag You seem to be having a great time despite the jet lag ( you can't burn the candle at both ends!). Love the pictures and I look forward to hearing more of your adventures.

Good luck beyond Bangkok Don't know where you're off to next Graeme but hope all goes well. Now that has Alice has booked her trip looks like you may see her in South America some time this year!
Great pictures Really enjoyed looking at your pictures, could almost fancy Thailand after all! Especially enjoyed the majesty of the world's most expensive glass of coke (&view of course!)
Love Kate nKeithxx
Wow! Gosh it all looks very foreign, Graeme! Glad to see you found some fellow travellers to tag along with and that you are not conned by the locals! Katex
Hi Graeme,
Great to hear about the start of your travels! Photos so far look fantastic, especially that floating market. Looking forward to hearing more as the travels evolve.
Take care,
Bex
A little Thai to help you It seems like you are getting hassled a lot in Bangkok! A useful Thai phrase which means no thank you is 'Mai ao krab' (literal translation is no need). You add krab (sounds like cab when you say it) on the end to make it polite and because you're a boy, girls say kha. I'm sure if you ask some Thai person they will tell you if you're saying it right. This should stop them bothering you and also stun them a little whilst you escape as they realise that a 'falang' (thai slang for foreigner) has spoken their own language to them. I also recommend that you try one of the coconut drinks (they're green coconuts btw don’t let this confuse you as it did me).
Lastly, stop doing dily updates it's depressing me at work!
Sounds like a good first 2 days...i remember the traders to be just as friendly but far less persistent in the south islands!
hope you\\\'ve familiarised yourself with the hotel fire emergency arraggements!
Having taken a 12 month career break I have decided to embark upon a solo travelling expedition through Thailand, Malaysian Peninsula, New Zealand, South America and North America. I will use this blog to record the highlights, both as something for me to look back on and for anyone who may be interested!... full info
