not so much fear but loathing LasVegas I can appreciate your take on Las Vegas. But gambling is not my thing either. Glad you made your way to San Francisco!
Trekking poles just might save your life Haha Lorien. I can't wait to compare our scenery pics. Yay vintage cowgirls! We haven't made it to Harry Potter yet, but it is definitely on the itinerary. D$ trekking poles can get you down from a tight spot and save your neck. That's all I'm saying...
Indians, Dinosaurs, and Harry Potter...Oh my! I think it is funny that your pictures of scenery look a lot like my pictures of scenery even though we are in different states. Jenny, I got you a present from North America's largest dinosaur museum today, and Elyse, yours involves vintage cowgirl print! And even in Casper, Wyoming, Harry Potter packed the house :)
newspaper rock rocks! I've seen pictures and read about newspaper rock when teaching about petroglyphs! I didn't realize that it was so big. Amazing! Good luck on your trek to the Grand Canyon!
Guide Karla- To get John Rambo as a guide, it helps to be related to him. I am his sister after all; however, he can be hired out and I can put you in touch if you ever head this way!
Steven--more rafting is a GO! Juan Rambo might even come with us!
Mom-- I bet Debbie could sew up a guinea pig lifejacket stat!
Lucky YOU! You lucky, lucky women. Cute dogs, sensational scenery and eye candy too. Did you have to request an eye-candy guide? I have to agree with Adventure Dog/Rafting Dog -- "Land! What a relief!"
Keep the pictures and stories coming, PLEEEEEZE ~.~
Mom is jealous! Vegged out in Debbie's new above ground pool. No adventure pets. No life jackets for the guinea pigs, and the cats are too smart for such.
John Wayne Awesome pictures! The scenery definitely looks like something out of "The Searchers." Maybe we should try rafting= the Columbia river, or we could do some log rolling - like the lumberjacks do!
Whataburger UFO Were Juan Rambo and friend eating the food at the Montrose Whataburger? That's probably what caused the shared UFO hallucination. That's my theory.
Generalissimo and Jenny Karankawa have teamed up to take on the Pacific Northwest (and Utah and the Grand Canyon). The pair first met back in 1997 under the banner of St. Thomas, when Generalissimo was a fierce fencer and Karankawa an aspiring actress (of all things).
Karankawa's namesake comes from the Texas Gulf Coast tribe that was wiped out in the 1800's, primarily by the French pirate Lafitte. Little is known about the tribe, except that the men were spectacularily handsome at nearly seven feet tall while the women were only a mere five feet and often referred to as short and squat... full info
