Yeah yeah mom, I´m alive. I´ve just been busy. Day 14 wasn´t much. We woke up late contrary to what my dad wanted to do. We left and found on nice restaurant on a balcony and ate some chicken. My dad caught what I had and doesn´t look good. Barely felt like eating. We came back to the hostal and played chess till it was time to go. My dad played the sick game and gave me the big backpack. We took an earlier flight again and arrived in Lima around 7:30. Did the same thing as last time, arrived and ate some chicken. Day 15, We woke up at noon after not getting much sleep. They had cooked up a nice plate of Tallerin verde. (green spaughetti for all you gringos) Its a green sauce ... read more

Arequipa-where the hot Peruvians are at So after I finished blogging this afternoon, my dad and I decided to pick up and head on out to a movie theater here in Peru. We got there and most of the movies listed were movies we had already seen. They don't have some movies already released in the U.S. and they still have some old ones like 12 rounds and milk. We ended up seeing the proposal. Not the movie I would've chosen but it was alright, it was pretty funny. We had 3 drinks, 2 adult tickets, 1 medium popcorn, and a partrach in a pear tree for only 14 dollars american. It wasn't just a movie theater, it was like a little mall. They had a full food court, radio shack, payless, some derpartment stores, and ... read more

This is going to be a short blog due to the fact that we barely have done anything. You know? I should´ve included this in Day 9, but on the way back to cusco, we had quite the interesting taxi driver. He was popping 120 KPH on a suburban road. He was wizzing pass cars and buses on high curving roads. If that wasn't bad enough, he started blasting the backstreet boys for the whole hour ride. My dad and I dubbed him 'Crazy homo taxi guy' Day 12, we woke up late and started loitering the streets of Puno. Nothing really to do after lake Titicaca. I went to an arcade there. The games were so CHEAP! For one dollar american, you can play 30 games! We are talking classics here though. Tekken, street fighter, ... read more

I know I skipped day 10, but father insisted upon blogging about that day because that day was just a 9 hour bus ride of which I slept most of the way through. I do however remember waking up at a stop to get some sour skittles. Tell me, are they supposed to crunch and crumble into little sourless peices or be chewy and sour? Anyway, on to day 11. We stayed at a nice bed and breakfast here in Puno, where they had directTV with about 6 channels and it included a breakfast of eggs and toast. We left at about 6:30 with no time to eat the lovely meal in order to get on a bus that wasn´t ours. We rode it half way through the city before a lady on the bus ... read more

Hi, little Juan here again. I´d just like to let you all know that I´m feeling much better, I´m eating and not getting queezy anymore. My dad and I got here yesterday and checked in to the Bromelia. Simple bare necessities. 2 beds, toilet, sink... a light bulb. Right next to it is this nice internet cafe that I´m using right now. Last night, my dad and I went to one of these local restaurants where my dad wanted to order this dish that included one of his favorites, Lento beans. We got our food and my dad didn´t get his beans. When he asked the lady about it, she BS´d us by saying "oh well... you know...its cold and its late...you don´t really want those" They also posted on their window that they take visa, ... read more
