Well, I’ve just completed by first working week at my brand-new, Prague-based consultancy firm, and all in all I have to say that it really hasn’t been all that bad! Colleagues seem nice enough (no evil Sandras or belligerent Juliens to report as yet), job looks fairly straightforward (at least in comparison to the infinitely complex and semi-functional at best practices of the GDC at any rate!) and training has so far been a breeze (probably because said Sandra and Julien aren’t viciously delighting in making me feel a fucking fool in its implementation this time round!). Though it’s still early days, I have to say I think I’m really going to like the Case Advisor job, which basically consists of advising British Line Managers as to how to handle Underperformance / Discipline / Absence
