ashleyhaw@hotmail.com What a wonderful experience...except for the rehydrated salted cod with orange slices! :/
I went to the Alhambra in high school and I have a very similar picture to the last one on the page! I remember all of the gardens and intricate tiling and Moorish influence. We spent three weeks in Spain, visiting Lorca, Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, Sevilla, Segovia, La Costa del Sol, Valencia, Barcelona. I really loved the paella de mariscos on the coast.
Have you crossed the Strait of Gibraltar and visited Morocco? We took a hydrofoil across and I got deathly sea sick on the choppy water. It was worth the sickness b/c Morocco was so cool.
It looks like you had an awesome time with your family. I bet you're ready to bake chocolate chip cookies at home, or eat some of the cookies Bryce makes. Has he visited you, too? What's the weather like now? I'll make sure it's nice and warm here for your return!
Hasta manana!
Ashley
another terrific installment! Thanks again, Dana! What a super vacation for you and your folks! Good photography, too. Is that about it for Spain? Where haven't you been?

Fabulous! Dana,
Thank you so much for sharing. Loved reading the blog and seeing the pics. How fantastic! We hope to get there someday. The kids loved the monkey pics especially. We had fun with different kinds of monkeys in Costa Rica two weeks ago.
Lots of love from the Johnson/Rechner clan,

Feliz Bday! Hola, Dana, Happy Birthday, again, and glad to see you are having fun. Please convince your cousins that they need to take a break and enjoy themselves. Your very positive experience should inspire them. Tio Buck
thanks for sharing! Hi Dana! Great pics and very nice description of your latest adventure. You are having so much fun it will be difficult returning to the US, I bet!
Saludos, Tio Buck
very nice! Thanks, Dana! Great pics. I am glad that you are having such a good experience. You deserve to have some fun after four years of hard work at UVA. Did you get our snow pictures? It is still out there. Our friend Giorgio Cingolani is visiting for a few days and will return here the end of the month for another 5 days. We are having a great time talking agriculture.
Love, Tio Buck
End of Holiday I enjoyed these pictures. Vitoria looks really picturesque. Tomorrow i have to go to work very early. It has been cold here. It is supposed to freeze every night this week. Bryce goes back to Clemson early on Tuesday. Thats all love, MOM
White Christmas! Dear Dana,
We can't depend on a white Christmas here in Virginia anymore, either, but we will have some frozen precip on Saturday, apparently. I will pick up Davey on Friday from DC and Bert on Saturday at C'ville. Maya is already home. Today was Valeria's 50th Bday. Still a spring chicken. Thanks for the fotos and news from Guardo! It sounds like a lot fun. Have a great time traveling around and a Merry Christmas. Sorry we won't see you at Gma's. Maybe we can Skype you again?
Love, Tio Buck
