Hey guys, Today is my 7th day in Beijing and I am still adjusting to the culture shock. The basic necessities of life are met differently, but very well: Shelter: I live on the top floor (the 6th floor) of an apartment building behind an electronics shop. The apartment is a good size equipped with a small kitchen, bathroom, 3 bedrooms and a living/dining room in the center. I have a bedroom to myself. It has all the modern accommodations: power, clean running water and a big-ass television. Transportation: My family is pretty well off so we have a car to ourselves. It is an old, silver Jetta. The public transportation in the city is fantastic despite the 14 million or so people that live here. I live down the street from a train station. Food:
