Stupid Signs Hmmm, perhaps India and China could have an international competition of stupid signs. For my liking, "Climb Great Wall by boat" takes the cake here. Or perhaps the numerous "437 Days to go" signs around BJ at time of writing. You can buy 2008 Olympic Souvenirs everywhere already...
The turkey... Oh yes the turkey...poor thing. It makes me feel so sad whenever I think about it. But to fill you all in: whilst Chas, Jordan and I were making our way back from the summer camp, there was this little baby turkey that was coming towards us. As we neared it, it veered off the the right hand side, which meant the middle of the road, and just at the moment, a great big huge truck came roaring on top of it. It was so awful because one moment it had been a happy little turkey, and within a second was...quite...flat. And we felt terrible because it had only veered into the road to avoid walking into us. :(
what about the turkey also, you forgot to tell about the baby turkey we saw get hit by the truck. that was a pretty powerful moment for all of us, i think.
my bus trip from hell my report of 300 people on that bus was not an exaggeration. there really were 300 people crammed into that bus (i counted at least 35 standing in the space between the first row of seats and the windshield). however, I'll graciously accept your vicious allegation that I embellished as evidence of the fact that my real life experience was one of those things that just can't be grasped by everyday imagination.
Yo dude, What's up? Hey!!!! Glad to see you are having fantastic adventures. Miss you both - LOVED Ana's laughing fit story - a true classic. Hope married life is blissful and keep adventuring. Lots of love, Sal. xxx

They do not get more arms because they are angry, nor do the gods actually have all those arms. Most of the arms are shown with some objects, each representing a virtue or skill the god represents. For example, the goddess laxmi has one arm in blessing and another with coins streaming from it representing wealth and prosperity. It is just like modern art.
I wish... I wish I was in india with you...... the place looks beautiful and AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
Glad to hear that things are getting better health wise....
Language barriers are hard but before you know it you'll probably pick up on a few new words or sayings!

mmm..... back to the old days Just wanted to let you guys know that we were thinking of you fondly in Bordeaux. We bought ourselves some wine, cheese, pate and bread and sat on Carines verandah. The only thing we were missing was you guys (oh and maybe some trains and old couches)!!! Thinking of you... watch out for the cows!!! Lots of love to you both! :)
wow Congratulations Ana you have my respect because Indian driving is another of life and death's experiences...the saving grace is they never really get out of second/third gear or travel above 50! Woudn't mind a Babu here at times either!
So funny but So TRUE yeah the title kinda says it all, it is really that bad, and if you happen to be able to find a driver like babu you will never have any issues as he will NEVER crash
Wow... There is the same problem in Africa. Just yesturday we were sitting outside in a cafe and the waitress came along, picked up our empty chip packet and threw it over her shoulder with a big smile, as if to say, "There you go, all clean for you"! Even though it was still clearly visable now about 1.5m infront! Ha! Great to hear you are having good times xx
Rubbish!! Well after receiving 7 emails about this Blog entry I thought I better read it!! Glad to hear that you are both busy and have fulfilling jobs whilst in India. As for the rubbish, all you can do is do what is moraly right for you...you can't change the way it is!!!
xxx
Wow! Way to go! Chas...how excited are you, and deservidely so! I am very proud of you both as you will change the lives of some of the most needy in this part of the world. (Hope you are feeling better Ana). Lots of love xxxxx
Wonderful...! I'm sitting in Dorset, it's 3:30am (can't sleep!) and we've been back in UK for less than 24hrs after a stunning 2 week trip through Vietnam. After reading your last message Chas, all I want to say is do as much of this work as you can while you can. It's very important not just for the poeple who's lives you will effect but also for the both you. Am jealous, very jealous!! And really look foward to your next news. Lots of love.
welcome
It has been wonderful for Leigh and I to have the newly weds here for a couple of days. Also nice to see the way that they are approaching the new challenges that they face. I am looking forward to following the blog through the year.

Stupid signs
Do you think they would allow Zac in a bathroom anywhere in Kerala?
