Matt and Tabi
Matt:
Before Tabi and I start to have a family and look at buying a house in the next two years we plan on travelling and going on a adventure across Canada, Europe and the UK. For myself (Matt) this is probably the hardest thing I have done in my life. I have lived in Kemptville for 26 years (Born, raised and went to school), worked at Community Living for 8 years, and volunteered at the local youth centre for 6 years. We have had to say "see you later" to our family and friends and pack our belongings in boxes (and put them in storage). Hopefully everyone enjoys the pictures and stories we will be posting along the way. I am excited to meet some new people and for the upcoming adventures! Hopefully out of our journeys I become a little wiser and can take some wisdom away from different parts of Canada and other cultures.
Tabi:
Ever since I was a little girl I have always dreamed of getting out of Sudbury, of seeing the world and all the wonders it has to share. As I moved from adolescence to adulthood I started to worry that I would become just like everyone else, working 9 to 5, driving my kids to soccer practice paying my mortgage etc. and never really getting to live my life long childhood dreams; sure I had made it out of Sudbury but people would hardly count moving to Kemptville as a big accomplishment. Well tomorrow marks the next chapter in my life, one I have always dreamed of but never imagined would become a reality; and as a bonus I am getting to do it with the love of my life. I don't know what the future has in store... but good or bad, I am ready to embrace it; because you only get one shot in this world and I don't want to waste a minute. So as hard as it is to say farewell to all I have know for the last 3 years, I know that this is what I need so that one day when my children come to me for wisdom I can say with a clear concious that I never regretted anything and I lived my life to its fullest.
