Good evening team D. Your probably sailing round Whitehaven beach as we speak as, with the sun on your back. I do hope none of you guys are prone to travel sickness, I did take some ginger tablets before I left but alas the peanut butter on toast was too much for me the second morning and the fish got a good feed. I was know as 'chucky' for the remainder of the trip. Im sure you'll be having another amazing adventure and I look forward to the photos.
Enjoed your pictures of Fraser. Remember me you and col at the Coogee Bay hotel having the 'my favourite places' conversation? Now you know why Lake wabby was my favourite place after Sydney. Just beautiful. Love to one and all. xxx

Loving the texts I get they really keep me going mate, though fuel the misery of having to work every day. Hope you've checked out my msn space thing, a couple of new pix. Newest from last weekend with M+D. Have you seen the roller disco ones yet?
Well as I sit here on a well deserved day off, it's sunny, warm and Caroline's off buying tea. So I'm going to bust out the guitar, and chill for the rest of the day. Work to do on Monday though (Bank holiday) Balls, oh well.
Spoke to naked Ben the other day, he went to a Love train thing the other night, absolutely LOVED it! I didn't know that your mate did events...? I think he could be someone who'd want a bar??? Maybe hook us up with some kind of meeting, if you think he'd be interested?
Well, I'm off mate, great to hear from you, I love reading the tales. Just wish I could have been there to throw you higher, look better in photos, and embarass myself, in true OB stlye! WOW THATS NOTHING!!! Si
Your last few blogs have been absolutley amazing, just like your Michael Palin days in NY. You have been so lucky with your new family, you certainly owe Scotty a few. If you can think of a way we can reciprocate over here in blighty let us know.
As you desribe the weather and the scenery, the beaches and the atmosphere its only right that I attempt to redress the balance with thoughts of home.
This morning we were having our drains unblocked as the old pipes had finally succumbed to tree route damage. As I gazed out of my office window, just as you had described you were doing, I could see two frozen workmen covered in camouflage "browns" wrestling with the contents of our sewer pipe. I was tempted to open the window to capture the full flavour of the event, but it was a little cold so I passed on that pleasure. Having a "pass" was something I was then to be prevented from doing for the rest of the morning, otherwise they would have had warmer feet than they wanted.
The sleet then started to drift in, like dandruff caught in the ultra violet lights of a Manchester night club. The men blessed their good fortune and offered words of praise to the great weather god in the sky. Our elderly neighbour, Doreen, looked somewhat preplexed by these new biblical terms, but smiled that benign smile that only she can, and returned hurriedly indoors to move papers around as only she can.
I carried on with my work as strange sounds surrounded me, most were from outside but several were from inside as my constrained bladder and bowels struggled with their enforced redundancy. Its like having to be quiet in a concert, or similar event, all you can think of is coughing, well the same applies to enforced constipation, nothing else seeems to matter.
At lunchtime Mum returned home to relieve me, literally, as I dashed to work to attend to pressing business.
The evening ended as the day had begun with driving sleet and rain mixed to perfection in a cocktail of rare beauty, as it forced itself down the back of my neck as I locked the factory gates. The dark skies overhead beckoning me to join the excited throngs heading for the unparallelled delights of the M66 on a Monday night in early March. It must be hard for you to contemplate the days ahead when you realise what you are missing, and I can only apologise for painting such a rosy picture but you can't hide the truth.
Keep up the good work, may your rangs boom and your kangs roo, and toss one on the barbie for us willl you.
Best wishes from me and her.
Fatty bum bum Hello dere! Long time no hear I know, the pain of being back home is only just leaving but comes back in bouts. terrible bouts! nice to hear your still having a ball despite working life, its a cross we all have to bear simon, just not all of us in sydney! Not much to report really, went to nottingham for a house part Saturday- big dave, ed vass, Barney and adam have all moved in together (I'm sure you knew them?) Was nice to see everyone again and another Lincoln weekend is in the midst..how I miss thee. You haven't mentioned the side bar recently? Is this because your now working too much or am i to think you have found somewhere better?? Surely not, please don't break my heart. anywho, emmerdale is nearly on so i have to put my slippers on and make a brew. Has my life really come to this?!haha. Love to the others x x x
Top of the world When Billy Connolly went to Sydney, he went walkabout on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge - have you added that to your "things to do before I leave Sydney" list??
The photo of the bridge at sunset you promised me when I phoned, looks as good as you described at the time and very similar to the view I had at the time looking out onto our Avenue the rain pouring down, the water rippling down the drain! Very similar.. apart from.......!
How cool you met the band! What can I say - this gig looks great. Gutted we never got tickets, although we did see them at Big Day Out. Not the same as your experience though. Looks like you had a great time! From a jealous person. ;-)
Hello me ol' chum Hello matey, long time no speak.
The novelty of the internet world unfortunately doesn't exist at my Didsbury gaff so this is the first time ive been on for months! Your trip certainly seems to include an excellent balance of cultural understanding, historical learnings and beer! It does please me to hear that the weather has been a bit shakey, long may it continue. Please don't get a call centre job- they will steal your soul, instead why don't you become a lady of the night. I can see a gap in the market for your golden curls coupled with those shapely hips.
Anyway the journal has been a great read so keep it up man.
Im gonna be a copper from March 27th which is wierd, but first i have to have laser eye surgery which im not looking forward to. Besides that everything is well and good. Keep on representin' boyo and see you soon.
Better a bad day on the beach then a good day in the office.
MISS YOU!!!
Love Andy
Hey Si!!
That pizza looks amazing, hope it was part of the Saturday night tea time tradition! I saw a red micra just like yours yesterday and thought of you - then i got into a lift and someone was wearing your aftershave, is it joop? the one you wear when you go out to impress the ladies? Anyway, with those two little encounters i felt your spirit was visiting me in some strange out of this world experience... or maybe not, but either way i thought of you.
Works going well, starting to look for another job on a production soon, maybe x factor or the price is right is making a comeback so we'll see about that. It's been very chilly here this week so the bad weather over your side of the globe does make me smile a bit! Other than that and the fact Michael Barrymore is on Celebrity Big Brother, there's not much else to report.
Keep up with the blogs, they're a nice read, and you write them so well! Good luck with the telesales job, you've got the gift of the gab so you'll be selling more cards than anyone! Say hi to the other guys from me,
Look forward to hearing from you again soon,
Lu xx
Poor boy How sad your life sounds, beer and stray women in your flat. How shallow your life is becoming, you need to mature and enjoy civilised educational pursuits such as.....
beating the United 3 -1 on Saturday, booing them all afternoon and then going for a small libation in the local hostelry to celebrate! Seeing Fergies usual good natured reaction to defeat, blame the ref, blame the atmosphere etc nothing about his team bottling it (again) and that tart Ron Aldo spending the afternoon auditioning for Strictly Come Dancing (Speciality dance the step over gay gordon.
It was most enjoyable and easily matches sunshine and surf, unfortunately back at work now and that certainly doesn't compare.
Good luck with job hunt.
Cheers
Your old dad.
Up the blues!!!
I graduated from university in June 2005 and felt the urge to travel. I decided with a little help from my friends, formed after many a drunken student night together, to make a pact with them to see the world.
Thinking it could be the last chance before the "real world" takes a hold of me a 'round the world' ticket has been purchased and the world is my oyster! ... full info
