You are giving such an amazaing gift to these kids. I'm so proud of you !!

add'l note on why obama was awarded, which is a big surprise thoughout the world
(from bbc news) Asked why the prize had been awarded to Mr Obama less than a year after he took office, Nobel Committee head Thorbjoern Jagland said: "It was because we would like to support what he is trying to achieve". "It is a clear signal that we want to advocate the same as he has done," he said. But critics say he has failed to make breakthroughs. Domestically, Mr Obama has been working to tackle an economic crisis and win support for healthcare reform. Some said they saw the prize as a way of encouraging the US leader early in his presidency. "It is an award that speaks to the promise of President Obama's message of hope," said Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, a former winner. The statement from the Nobel Committee said Mr Obama had "created a new climate in international politics"

No Tigers in Africa
Yes, I'm aware that there are no tigers in Africa...but for some reason whenever I talk about animals here, tigers are on my mind...I think it's all the tiger face painting I've been practicing,...and all the talk about tiger attacks upon realizing that my insurance covers airlift evacuation in case of injury by animals. Anyway, until I see any other wildlife (so far only cows, goats, and chickens) I'll probably still be thinking tigers.

Yay Amy! Glad to hear that you made it safely. It's amazing! I don't know where to begin. I only wish my eyes could see what you're seeing or to see you in the environment. I look forward to hearing more! Take care, be safe and keep the compass on you as much as possible. David
