Ahhhh the Beach! No matter where we are in the world ... you still have got to LOVE THE BEACH!!! Sounds most awesome! I want a little old man to kiss me too ... by the time you come home, you'll learn to love the wine!

jealousy works you should ask the old man out, hold his hand, and go buy ice cream from Lorenzo. Say: hello, questo il mio nuovo ragazzo. Bello, eh? Si....ahh, amore....
I love you! Elizabeth, I LOVE reading your journal! I feel like I am right there with you. I miss you! I'm glad to see that you are having a wonderful experience. :-)
Sign me up! Ciao bella Elizabetta! After reading all of your posts, I'm sitting here at my desk contemplating how I can do a semester abroad too. My co-worker told me that at my age it's not called a "semester abroad" but rather a sabbatical or more likely a mid-life crisis. Whatever it's called, I wish I could join you! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. As others have said, you're a great writer and I can't wait to read more!
wow It sounds like you and nonna tina got along really well that you didn't want to leave. There is a real diverse group of people in you class. We are all trying to stay cool it has been 100 or hotter this week can't wait for it to get cool soon.

Laugh out Loud Oh Elizabeth ... thanks for the laugh about the shower (bath)! Really ... you should be writing comedy! I laughed right out loud at the PC. So happy for you ... ENJOY!!! Love - Karen
Keep smiling! Elizabeth- Each time I read one of your entries something strikes me as so funny that I can't stop smiling. Today's chuckle came from the image of you getting directions from the old and infirm...great thinking, Elizabeth:) Enjoy every moment...Love, The Russells
Hello! Hello, my dear!
I just wanted to let you know how very much I have enjoyed reading your posts. I've decided that as soon as you get back from Italy you need to start looking for a job as a writer. Because I want to read stuff you write allll the time.
It sounds like you are having a wonderful experience so far! I'm so impressed with all the things you're doing -- and I definitely admire your courage -- I couldn't do it!
Continue to have a fabulous journey, best of luck with everything, and keep entertaining me with your wonderful posts!!
Lots of love,
Em
You're doing Great! Your words paint a vivid picture of what is going on. I love the description of your new bathroom-mate. Patrick has nothing to worry about there ... but maybe the 3 yr old. (ha ha) I'm so happy you're safe and making your way. It sounds like you've "put on" a great attitude and flowing with all the new experiences/differences. Great to read your notes ... Love - Karen
Fantastico! Elizabeth-
I am having a great time reading about your adventures. It is with a smile on my face that I have been hearing your voice and listening to your tales through your writing. I look forward to reading more. Best wishes to you.
I'm so glad that you're having such an adventure already! When you come back, we won't need detailed itineraries anymore because you'll be so accustomed to running around with random bus drivers for indefinite periods of time. You done me proud, kid. I'll be waiting with bated breath for the next entry.
