new bill bryson Nice work Beamish. Like the nom de plume - definitely the new bill bryson. Well you are single-handedly responsible for my office thinking I'm a weirdo for bursting out laughing repeatedly in the last few mins whilst reading your epistle. A few points to your contemplification and edification:
Accommodation (2Cs, 2Ms - easy peasey)
Because=porque I do believe.
I need to= Yo tengo que+infinitive
We need to= tenemos que+infinitive etc
Hai (pronouced 'eye') can mean is there? or there is/are depending on your intonation. No idea what the past tense of that would be but that would be how you say 'there was'. One of those 3rd person verbs like il faut in Frog. Now I'm just being a bit geeky so will shut up.
I think those are right. Not sure. Kirst will def correct me - she was grande at the old espanol.
So on the basis of the amount I know about your admittedly eventful flights out to the wilds of S Am, am looking forward to hearing about the more traditional stuff for these travel journal jobbies (you know, the usual "I found myself at the bottom of a cave whilst wearing genuine llama hair underpants") Well that's what I did anyway.
Seriously hun, have a great time and will look forward to hearing about it all. Stay happy, stay safe. Hope all the preparations went ok despite the elsuiveness of suitable black lightweight fleeces and flexible lined paper publications. Have to say that I am in the process of losing my blogging virginity as I type (was it as good for you as it was for me?) so am quite intrigued by the whole thing - well done Hels!
Oh and my bday thing was really fun, thanks. Naylor was "nayled" so expect she may be suffering today but hey, so am I. C-L, Lou and Clare all came along but you know how you always feel you haven't had a chance to talk to anyone properly? Anyway, was great, and am only feeling marginally nauseous this morning so game on. Pretty good considering only 3 hours sleep - grrr. Will avoid cheese though now following your timely advice and investigative migraine journalism.
Suerte (if you haven't heard that yet, you will soon...) love Sammie x x
