Roman Housing and Food and Mealtime Customs for the Various Classes Roman housing for the wealthy: -The houses for the wealthy were single-story houses called domus. -The house was huge-the decorations of the house included marble pillars, statues, and mosaic walls and floors. -The house was divided into two sections: the front and the back. -Some of the rooms the houses inlcuded were the bedrooms, dining room, atrium, kitchen, and other general living rooms surrounded the atrium. -The houses of the wealthy were overall in a lot better condition than the houses of the poor.
