Chrysanthenam Tea is good for upset tummy! Hi! Chrysanthenam Tea is supposed to be good for an upset tummy - that is what I was told when in Hong Kong many years ago! The waiter brought a teapot and when I opened it there was a huge Chrysanthenam floating in the pot! We were guests of a Hong Kong couple and when we went to a restaurant told them to order whatever they liked. Well George was busy talking (yes he was talking - not moi!) and about to put something in his mouth when he looked and there on his fork (no chopsticks for us spoil sports - I would starve if I had to use chopsticks!) was a perfectly cleavered head of a pigeon!!! He looked horrified and shut his mouth instantly! We were told that the head was a speciality! He immediately put it back on the plate. I think we both felt sick at the sight of the bird's head! This is the best way to lose weight! - every cloud has a silver lining! Love the Panda's! Enjoy! Looking forward to the next instalment! Sending lots of love, light and hugs, Barbara (and George!) xxx
After I have ....and after you have! Hi You two! Sounds like your are having the journey of a lifetime! I tried to access the Blue Elephant website but it was so slow I gave up! So..............................................................................................................................................
I will tap you, steam your clothes and then when you are feeling more normal (whatever normal is!) George and I will head round to your place for an amazing Thai dinner!!!!!! Aren't we going to have fun!!!! Can't wait!!!!
Enjoy your time out but remember we WILL be waiting for a gourmet invitation when you return!!!
Sending lots and lots of love, light and hugs,
Barbara (and George!) xxx
Memories Hi Angie + Paul,
I'm really enjoying reading about your travels and the photos are great. It's brought back some memories of my travels around China and Thailand, I loved Maya Bay too but I can also remember the increasing tourism and places to avoid. I hope you continue to have an amazing time. I'm looking forward to hearing more.
Adelle xx
Think I will steam your clothes when you come home! So pleased that you had a lovely hostel to stay in - think it makes all the difference to the experience. I have a steamer at home and if you would like I will steam your clothes after they have been washed to kill any bugs!!! That is if you keep them!! Can't believe you were drinking buckets of booze!! I bet you never slept that night with all the caffeine! Be safe, be well, sending lots of love, light and hugs, Barbara and George xxx
I think I'd rather be at home in my own bed! I cannot believe the things that happen to you! - just glad that you returned to dry land safely! We saw the fisherman on the television the other night whilst watching "Stricly come dancing" - aren't we sad, cosy and safe!!!
Lots and lots of love, light and hugs, Barbara and George xxx
I'll tap you on Cockroaches when you come home - maybe too late! Hi Angie and Paul! I canot believe the hostel that you went to - sounds absolutely disgusting! Once you go to nice hotels you get spoilt! You sound like you are having the experience of a lifetime! If you come home with a cockroach phobia I will do my best to clear it for you!!! We went to Hong Kong many years before it was taken back by China and it was a great place but we didn't stay in your hostel thank goodness! We did go to some very seedy places but that is a very long story that we will tell you when you come home! Wish we could meet you in Australia! Missing you lots! Be well, be safe, sending lots of love, light, hugs and kisses Barbara and George xxx
fantastic Your journey is inspiring and I'm glad you are experiencing so much variety, while you are in that 'neck of the woods'. Continue to have a brilliant trip, and a big thank you for all the lovely photos which bring it alive. Take care .... and enjoy!
Enjoy Phuket Hi, Sounds like you had a great time in bangkok hope you are enjoying Phuket. make sure you try the Hot banaana Pancakes (usually cooked at the side of the road) they are delicious! Especially when drizzled with chocolate over them! Hmm my mouth is watering just thinking about them! Have a fabulous time. Regards Karenx
Thai It looks like you two are having an amazing time, love reading about this, especially in the office while its chucking it down outside, very, very jealous. I hope your going to where 'The Beach' was filmed, other friends have been and said it was fantastic. Loved the Warsteiner sign, you cannot beat a good German pils, you even get it in Sheffield!
Take care.
you wouldnt catch me on it!!! Well done Paul!!! I can barely even look at the photo of the cable car. I'd have to sit curled up in a little ball to even think about travelling in that thing!!
Saved the best till last Hi, Thanks for keeping your 'blog' up to date. It is realy fascinating following your travels. It sounds like you are all having a fantastic time. Your last stop in China really sounded like the best ever, especially the scenery in Yangshou! Enjoy the rest of your trip. Warmest regards Karenx

Shoot!!! Oh my goodness, that was like a suspense thriller, what a gripping read, thank goodness all was well in the end!
Hope you are enjoying the total relaxation and the cocktails.... xx
amazing but yuk! Wow it sounds like you are having an amazing time although i'm a bit grossed out by the thoughts of saliva accumulating on the floor!!! Yuk!! As always your blogs are so interesting...pilates instructor? you should have been a tripadvisor!!xx
PS please don't bring that skateboard to bannatynes....its a torture implement too far!! ;-)
Exercise? what exercise? - the Dundgeon Mistress strikes again!!!!!! Always thought that the Chinese brought their children up with good manners and discipline - obviously got that wrong! Just getting worried about the excercise torture gizmo that you're bringing home! Maybe I should manifest it to vanish somewhere on the journey!!! xxx
Poor Paul! Hope that Paul is now feeling a lot better! A week or so ago there was a programme on the television about the way that tourists are hoodwinked for lots of money! Be careful at the airport or whenever you get a taxi there are very bad people around who prey on tourists and take you to hostels or hotels which are dumps and 10x the price they should be. When you finally succumb and stay in one of the places they take you to out of sheer exhaustion the next morning they hike the price up even further saying that was the price you agreed to pay! If you don't pay a crowd of men surround you which is very intimidating until you pay the money that they ask. Please be careful. xxx
Hi Hi, this looks absolutely amazing! I am really interested in things like this so it was really good to be able to see it and read about the history, i am amazed how they wer'e able to make such amazing things with limited tools! This is one place i would really like to see. It sounds like you have to have your wits about you because of all the scams! I would get done over loads and believe everyone! :)
I hope your feeling better paul!
Take care both
