I MISS YOU!!!!! Amazing... Dining hall, dancing, AND you get to play dress up!!! I cant even tell you how happy I am for you- this is LOVELY.
Keep it up girly, I'm rooting for ya!! Just remember, when you're looking for a place to "fit in" --- you're a restless soul, you'll meet em all, you'll love em all, and you'll HATE em all.
Remember when we auditioned for the Real World in Boston??? This is your time to SHINE baby, and I WISH TO GOD you were being videotaped!!!

It's not really like college unless you frequently eat a whole thin crust pizza and cheesy bread for lunch and then have a crazy red-headed friend spit your midnight candy snack back and forth across the room while you watch "Elimidate" and "Just Shoot Me!" until you fall asleep at 3 (because that's when the "Everyone [Hates] Raymond" re-runs come on). Other than that, it sound pretty incredible and I am totally jealous. Miss and love you!
I wonder who took that amazing photo of you???? You always have the best stories. Of course you are a fabulous writer too. I'm so glad you took this job. Have fun my darling--love you!
Wow! What an exciting life! Of course, burnout could be an occupational hazard. You may not have known that I had a similar job (on land) at an adult camp in the Poconos. I conducted the morning calesthenics, the singalong, the water relay races, taught the tango, called square dances, organized the baseball tourney, etc. 'Twas a very fun time of my life. I was 20. Love, Unk Harvey
Keep your spirits up! Hey Alaine - A schedule that runs noon to 3 a.m.? Sounds like you're back in college! And yes, I am jealous! Sorry to hear of your travel difficulties and that others aren't as outgoing and welcoming as you are, but I'm sure you'll meld into the group fully in no time! Thanks for putting together the blog. I'll be fun to follow your travels! Keep the news coming!
I have recently realized that eventually ideals must either turn into truths, or we must start over. Here's to new beginnings.
