Consistency Senegal vs. Rome, sort of the same!!! Enjoyed the pics and your adventures. Sounds very interesting from a distance, but the Fish Thing would be of interest to you and Dad. Kristin and I will have to keep that at a distance.!!
whoa the braids! man! reminds me of when we were in London and you wanted to get dreadlocks. haha. your hair is going to be super curly when you unleash them! :) be safe!
What is henna Henna is a dye made from a plant that is traditionally used to paint skin (most famously in India but also in swahili culture) and dye hair.
words I tried for an appropriate comment, but I think you used all the words. Good to see you did this article for the family, or at least part of it. Plate pics for Dad, and peppers for little sis!!! Great article, really enjoyed it.
Ah the memories! The hell ride from Tandanhangue -- sitting on bags of dried fish, sharing raw cassava root with the locals. And those ballerina slippers: whoever dares laugh should know that they lasted Martina all the way to Uganda.
En avant my little bourlingeuse!
And send us more pictures of food.
Now yer talkin' food pics for dear ole dad, and a live music concert. hope he could get into it. what a treat, cape verdean music. i'm quite taken with it, have some cds from cape verde to play for you when you get back.
Hikin\ You are after books to read, better worry about a good pair of hiking boots. Those ballerina slippers should be saved for other occassions!!! Shoe size please!!!
Ha ha I already thought of that...despite how nice people were in Florence it was still too embarassing in a restaurant alone to take photos of my plate. I mean, could I possibly scream "my biggest relationship is with food" any more than that!! But I am trying to get over that and in Dakar I have started taking pics of my meals for Daddy :)
