We arrived in Ho Chi Minh after a 10 hour night bus at 5:30 in the morning. The guest houses were not yet open, so we went to the bar to wait. We had no intention of drinking but it was pretty much the only thing open. Next to us was a group of young men and some girls i think might have been prostitutes. They were amusing fighting with one another and two guys almost got in a fight...no wonder people have a jaded view of us foreigners. then after they left about five min later I saw a girl walk out from some guys room in a short dress and heals, some guy motioned to her, he said a few words and the two linked arms and ran away. Thats the first time i saw some one pick up a prostitute

After a small nap we made our way to the war remnants museum. It was very intersting to see and I highly reccomend it to anyone that goes there. I think its very important for people to learn about the war from both perspectives. After the museum we decided to take a ride in a cyclo, we hadnt done so yet. Well it was our last cyclo driver. After he droped us off he tried to charge us nearly 10 times what we had agreed on. He started yelling at me and linda so linda just handed him the money and ran away.

We spent the rest of the day exploring the town, i really wanted to go to some veggie foodstals, but apparently they werent open. So we went to a cofee shop and wathced children with men, and prepared for our next day journey to cambodia.
