Our final days in Cambodia were spent relaxing around the pool with a short trip into the heart of Siam Reap. The days have been a little cooler, making bearable to walk around. Our excursion into town was an eye opener, similar to the street of Bangkok, with not so many people. We headed to the markets, not just touristy stuff, we went to the local meet and food market. It was very hard to identify the meat hanging the stales as you can see from the pic's. Again the heat got to us and we headed to a local bar to watch the people go by and the fact we had seen 50c beers. After a bit more walking and few more beers we decided on lunch at a local restaurant. Absolutely delicious, and with beers $8. After lunch our drive picked us up and we made our daily appearance at the pool, soaking up the sun until happy hour.

Happy hours was a bit solemn event for us as we had to say goodbye to friends we had only met days earlier. I promised you a photo of 'Sokman' our bartender, told you he was a character. The

people at the "Borei Resort & Spa" have been fantastic; they could not do enough for us. On the last evening a majority of the staff went to a wedding of another staff member, and can you believe it, they invited us. We would have loved to accept, but we were not dressed for the occasion and we had to be up early the next day to catch a flight. If anyone is thinking about heading to Cambodia, I thoroughly recommend staying here. Thankyou to Alex, Pros, Domra, Sokman, Say and all the staff for a delightful stay.

Sunday morning we left Cambodia and arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and in the words of Robin Williams, "Good Morning Vietnam" and if he thought it was hot here, he has never been to Cambodia and cruised the temples. Vietnam is a change of pace and life style. Ho Chi Minh is very similar to Sydney, only with a heap more people. We got settled into our room and did a little exploring. It is Chinese New Year here and the celebrations continue most of the week. Street parades and dragons are all the theme. The streets are relatively

quite during the day, but last night was different, just trying to cross the road was a challenge and most are one way streets. People have come from everywhere, most likely for the celebrations, but time will tell.

We have planned out our day and intend to explore more of Ho Chi Minh today. Our neighbours in Sydney have recommended a number of restaurants and we hope to find one for lunch. The rest of the day will be taking in the sights, the Reunification Palace, Saigon River, Notre Dame, War Remnants Museum and of course the markets. Fill you all in over the next few days. We have also booked two tours, the first one to the 'Cu Chi Tunnels' for half a day and a full day on the 'Mekong Delta'. Anyway I will take plenty of photos.
