Ho Chi Minh is a bit more organised than Hanoi but the same principle of driving exist, did the usual city stuff haggled in the Ben Thanh Markets a huge place which had a big sign saying ''fixed price only" nothing is further form the truth in these places. Visited the war remnants museum, it’s mainly all pictures and it doesn’t hold back with its very graphic photo's of the war from the start to the finish, very interesting place.
Next day we were Cu Chi tunnel bound via a religious temple, the terrible dirt track road was more memorable. The Cu Chi tunnels were class a huge network of tunnels which the local used to defend themselves during the war, hard to imagine how any soldier could crawl threw at speed. We were shown traps used by local to catch the enemies, I wouldn’t wana be caught up in one that’s for sure. It lashed rain during our visit so it had to be cut short. Finished the day off watching the all Ireland hurling Final in Sheridan’s Irish bar, the owner was the double of Ronnie Drew and the place was the size of a sitting room
