We decided to give DaNang a miss and are now here in nice little Hoi An.
Our 8am bus this morning didn't show up until 10:30am so we didn't arrive
until almost 2pm. Lovely hotel with a small pool, $10 for the room.

For our last day in Hue yesterday we went to the DMZ (De-Militarised Zone).
Trip left at 6am and returned at 6pm, and we worked out that we were only
off the bus for a total of 3 hours (and that included lunch & breakfast!!).
Exploring the tunnels that the Vietnamese lived in for 4 years was the highlight,
but overall the trip had far too much time spent on the bus......at least
it only cost $8 each!

Also got to see an old American Army Base with helicopters, tanks, and stuff.
The DMZ is the area that surrounded the old border between North Vietnam
& South Vietnam. That was were much of the fighting took place during the
Vietnam War.

Hoi An is a strange town. For those who haven't been here it is basically
just full of Tailor's shops!!
We have just ordered some test clothes in one place - just 1 thing each.
If they turn out OK in the morning we will start going nuts & order plenty
more!

Weather warmer here, sun has re-appeared!

No other news, still aiming for Nah Trang for Xmas.....can't believe it
is so close, not much festive spirit here, although there are some trees
and decorations up!

That's all folks!
