A very long 12 hour sleeper bus journey from Nha Trang to Hoi An, more bumpy bus than restful sleep!! It was very weird, you have a kind of reclining bed/chair, with a kind of drawer at the bottom where your feet go....photos should show it better than my explanation!! Checked into another very nice hostel, we booked a twin room, and turned out that it had 3 massive beds in it, so we were able to spread out!! Had a wander rond local sjops and market first thing, then decided to hire a moped!!!! So much fun, bloody hilarious trying to remeber how to ride the blinkin thing!!! Think Jess was more scared than I was....but once I got the hang of it, we were off!!! Found a beautiful secluded beach, and spent most of the afternoon there working on our tans - it was VERY hot, so had to cool off with regular dips in the sea!! Life sucks!!! Next day went to visit place called MY Son, about 2 hours outside Hoi An - ancient ruins of the Cham people - reallu beautiful. Went out for dinner in the evening, and had an early night!!!! 9th Nov took 5 hour bus journey to our next city Hue - again a lovely place, people are so friendly, and the shops are amazing!! Had a pair of linen trousers made to measure for 6 quid!!! Went to ther local market, where you could but everything from machetes to weird looking fruit, took some sneaky photos, as the traders aren't keen on being media stars!!! Also picked up some gifts for people at home....out for a meal and a few drinks in the evening. Next day, went to visit local Citadel, bit boring, but have to do the tourist thing sometimes!!! went out for dinner in the evening and spent a while in a local bar, got chatting to waiter there, and he was telling us about his studies etc, it puts us to shame a bit, he is studying 1 subject at uni....English!!!I hope you are all well and it is not too cold in England!!! much love don don x x
