Once again we have chosen to fly to Da Nang and then taxi to Hoi An. A one hour flight instead of the long bus rides...As we are short of time I prefer to spend the limited time in the place rather than getting there. Vietnam airlines seems to be prompt, and good value but a word of caution on the inflight bun....just not up to standard( spam on a white bun!!!)
Hoi An is a delight. Definately worth spending some time in. There are wonderful cafes along the river where watching people go by is great fun. We've toured the temples but the tailors are calling our names and it's begomming very hard to resist and after our first visit we are giddy with excitement...new clothes!!!! To top things off we also ordered two pairs of shoes each....Tomorrow will be fitting number 1 and I can't wait.
The mix of architecture here is beautiful...a mix of Japanese, French and Necessity.
