i found quite the popular little street restaurant. i have been to 'tuyets' the past couple of mornings and there is usually no place to sit. this morning i walked across the street in order to avoid being run over by a scooter as i waited a minute for a seat to become available.
the eatery is located in a tight alleyway where the child sized tables/chairs used in southeast asia really make since even if they are extremely uncomfortable to sit at for any period of time--lightbulb-- maybe they are used as an encouragement for slow eaters to be less so.?
the dish 'du alleyway' is a beefsteak with egg served sizzling on a griddle with red sauce. this is accompanied by a baguette and lightly pickled veggies. add a fresh squeezed orange juice from next door and i have found my most favorite breakfast in some weeks. i know where i'll be dining tomorrow!
