The Beach

Mui Ne has its own microclimate. Storms from out at sea pass over, hitting the country inland and leaving this beautiful little hamlet free of bad weather. We were clinging to this hope - more rain in Dalat was starting to dampen our spirits, so to speak.

What do you do in a sleepy beach town? Go to the beach, eat, sleep. Mui Ne afforded us some time for nothing - to finish our books, laze on deck chairs, gaze at the beautiful sunsets before gorging on fresh seafood dinners. There's little to tell - we played cards, rode a moto out to the (insignificant) local sights, drank sweet iced coffees by the sea, found a deli that stocked imported cheeses and wines and gorged ourselves over yet another game of cards.

What better way to close this first chapter of our Vietnamese experience...
