So, first we bought a bus ticket, then we asked for a train ticket but it was sold out, so we confirmed the bus with an agency who suddenly promised the more comfortable train. But then they couldn't. But maybe a plane. But no. They thought about the train again while I had a swim, but when I returned we were back on the bus, leaving in half an hour. So I nipped off for some take away pizzas but chef dropped one in the pizza oven (which must be a euphamism for something), and the 15 minute deadline was missed. So I was late for the bus which had forgotten to pick us up anyway and for which it transpired we still didn't have a ticket. When the bus finally did arrive, the driver tried his darnmost to knock over 2 mopedists and another bus before pulling into our hotel unscathed.

We got on, drew breath, and I plugged into Mr Pod. Dozed to Nha Trang, which looked like Ho Chi Minh City by the Sea, so we gave it a miss. Took 2 Drammamine, 7 hours of oblivion followed. Arrived in Hoi An just after dawn.
