a ride on a cyclo in Hanoi city We finally made it to the capital after a 12hr night bus journey. After Saigon, Hanoi seems so small for a capital city. However, in some ways its nice to see that a capital city can be still true to its country. People in Hanoi keep to their traditional way of living, where basically there whole lives are displayed on the streets. They have endless stalls, for everyday people and for the tourists. Tourists and locals combine together very nicely here, and its not intimidating in the slightest. A must see in Hanoi is the water puppetry show, which is very traditional and originates from the rice fields. Hard to describe but entertaining nonetheless.
Halong Bay, was a lovely two day trip. It was nice to be out in the peace and quiet for a while away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We saw a lovely sunset, but what really made this trip to Halong were all the lovely and interesting people we met on the boat. It was so nice and people so welcoming! A great way to end the trip in Vietnam
