Never trust a cyclo driver

Was pleased to have arrived in Hue, away from the big city of Hanoi, it is much slower down here which is great for a change and we have really good accomodation in a really good location we don't have to wander more than about 100m and have the choice of about 6 restaurants/cafes.

We decided to spend our first afternoon wandering around the old city, which, again is a world heritage site. We had to cross the river to get over to the old city and wandered up to the bridge, where a cyclo driver said "no, you can't cross the bridge" and he tried to point us to the other bridge 500m away from where we wanted to go, we were slighly sceptical of this and hung around and took a few photos until we saw other people coming across the bridge, we asked the cyclo man why he lied to us and he just biked away.

Once we got to the old city, again we were accosted by many cyclos all trying to point us in the wrong direction so we would walk a long way, or get lost and then we would be glad of

their services. Unfortunately for them I had my travel guide (Jared) with me and with the help of the Lonely Planet we managed to navigate our way round without too much trouble.

We spent most of our afternoon here then in the evening met the Aussie guys from Hanoi for dinner and drinks
