xin chao!
It's Lauren and Irina here. Today was a very busy day. We had an early start and spent most of the morning travelling by bus from Hoi An to Hue. We stopped off at the Marble Mountains which was very cool. It was fascinating to see the massive buddha's carved into the caves. There was also a very interesting monkey man who for 5000 dong would take pictures with you. The monkey man's unsettled movements were meant to represent human thoughts. One of the bigger caves we ventured into at the mountains was apparently used as a hospital wing during the war.
After arriving in Hue and resting at our hotel we all as a group went out for dinner. The evening was awesome; some interesting dishes were sampled and we ate in traditional Vietnamese dress. The oldest of the group ( Sue and Bruce) were the King and Queen for the night. We also enjoyed listening to some traditional vietnamese music while we ate. It was definiately a night to remember!!!
Missing you all heaps 😊
