We had a good laugh in Hue.. and the photos to prove it- it's good to be silly and Emperor Eric loved his silky outfit. Grrrrrr so smooth
However we have learnt that being over 30 years of age in Vietnam and without children is considered totally weiiiird, an invitation to a long lecture (usually by someone who is about 24) about how time is running out, how old we will be by the time our kids are 16 etc etc. I mean Jeez! do they get the Daily Mail over here or what! Zoe has done some very funny miming to try to demonstrate IVF and the ensuing 20 children you can expect from it (no thank you very much) and Eric has rather unfairly resorted to pointing out that our life expectancy is much more than theirs so we can have children later. However this doesn't seem to abate their enthusiasm for badgering us about having children. Unsurprisingly trying to explain what we have done - sold our flat, given up our jobs etc is also greeted with incomprehension- a Malaysian friend we met was totally gobsmacked - not the done thing. Anyway just in case you are ever asked Eric and I are on our 2 week honeymoon and have a second name of Walton and our 7 children are called John-Boy, Jason, Mary- Ellen, Erin ,Ben, Jim-Bob, Elizabeth. Good night Jim-Bob....(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Waltons)
