Dalat is the swiss alps of vietnam. It much cooler weather and there are loads of swiss looking log houses. We only spent 1 full day here so we did a motorbike tour called 'Easy Rider'. Basically you sit on the back of a massive motorbike and they drive you around all the sites. We saw this random crazy house which is still being built, the rooms are supposed to resemble Gaudi, it was really random!! Then we saw some waterfalls and pretty lakes from a cable car. The coolest thing we did was going to a minoroty village. We sat in the village elders hut by his smokey fire while he smoked cigrettes given to him by our tour guide. Then we went into the village school to see the kids who are being taught vietnamese by a local voluntary teacher. It really is amazing to think that people still live like this miles up a dirt track in the middle fo nowhere with no electrcity etc.

We really enjoyed the visit, I reckon Steve would move in given the choice!
