Heading out
On the long tail boat So this weekend we decided to hit up Koh Phi Phi again because a lot of the people in our group hadn't been there yet. It was Sam's last weekend, and Nicole was supposed to leave Friday but decided to leave Monday and come to Phi Phi with us.
We left around 6:30 in the morning on Friday to get the 7oclock public bus to Krabi. The ferry ride from Krabi to Phi Phi was nice and quick and the weather held out and didn't rain at all on the way there. It was nice seeing as how the last time we went to Phi Phi it rained the whole ferry ride there. We got to town around 1 and went to our hotel to get changed into our swim suites and then go and get lunch. We went to this pub and had some good Furang food (mozzarella sticks, potato skins, wings and nachos. Along with some other good food). After lunch we went and did some shopping before heading back to the hotel to hang out and relax before what we knew would be another crazy night in Phi Phi.
We went to dinner at this place
called Cosmics, which serves AMAZING pizza, but I didn't get any, I was in the mood for Thai food, not furang and I got a dish called Massaman Green Curry. Which is a soap with potatoes, chicken, beens and some other yummy stuff in it that they serve with rice. It is AMAZING!! After dinner we headed to the beach and hung out in front of one of the many bars lining the beach for a couple of hours. It was a lot of fun, just hanging out and talking. We then headed to a bar inland and danced the night away before I headed to bed around 4 am...
The next morning we had to wake up early because we had decided to charter a long tail boat for the day. So we left for the pier around 12. The driver was really nice and promised us a fun filled day. We started off by driving about an hour away from Koh Phi Phi to a nice snorkeling spot and did some snorkeling before heading to bamboo island for some wiffal ball and sun tanning. The beach on this island was AMAZING!! The water perfectly clear and
some more snorkeling spots right off the beach. It was a good time and we hung out there for about an hour before heading back towards Phi Phi where we stopped at this rocky area the middle of the bay so that we could..... SWIM WITH SHARKS!!!! Yes thats right, I swam with sharks...yay! It was a lot of fun but really scary at first. But they were only reef sharks which are not dangerous to humans so that was nice. After the swimming with sharks we headed to Koh Phi Phi Don which is the island where the movie "The Beach" was filmed and we got to see the actual beach, the one where they get attacked by the sharks(yup we swam in that bay haha). It was around 530 and we were still not done with the day we still had CLIFF JUMPING to do! Yay! It was so much fun, but a pain in the ass to get to the cliff, you had to climb up jagged rock cliffs to get there, but it was worth it, like 10 feet higher then sagamore bridge 😊
We got back to our hotel around 7 and showered and
got ready. We went to dinner at this really really good Mexican restaurant, unfortunitly my meal wasn't so good :-( but everyone else's was. We then headed to the tattoo parlor because two volunteers (Paul and Jackson) had decided to get tattoos. The way they do tattoos here is so cool. Instead of doing them with a machine they use a bamboo stick that they attach a needle type thing too and do it by hand. Jackson's tattoo took 5 hours to do, Paul's took 2. They were insane. I went to bed early again because I have this wicked bad cough and I had actually lost my voice that day because of it, it sucked.
We left the next day around 2 after doing a ton of shopping for christmas presents and such. We all agreed it was one of the best weekends we've had so far.
