It felt like today was split in two.
The first half of the day was spent on Koh Phi Phi Don, checking out of the hotel, getting our luggage to the harbor, and walking around “downtown” (the island is so small that downtown is more like a big local market) while waiting for the ferry. We had a 4 hour gap between checking out of the hotel and leaving on the ferry. After looking at a few shops, we decided to set up a base in the shade at the beach. Mom and I read, Dad snoozed, and Kaja watched all the tourists who went paragliding. Kasper, Katja, and Kia went shopping. I didn’t realize until we got to Thailand how big a shop-a-holic Kasper is. At least here he has been the one consistently buying stuff whenever we pass a market, haha.

Family on ferry
A family of bookworms much cooler than the air and it was really refreshing.
Afterwards, the whole family went out on a quest to find a local (and cheap) restaurant. Took us about an hour and a few detours but the food was great and not quite as expensive as the fancy restaurants you see on all the big streets.
Tomorrow will be another exciting day as we’re going on a jungle trip on elephants, then rafting, and then swimming next to a waterfall! Once more we have to get up before 7 am… It’s hard being on vacation 😉
