We checked out from our hotel in Bangkok at 10 o'clock and went to the airport. We landed on Phuket at 13.00

Phuket is Thailand's largest island and nestles against the Indian Ocean Coast some 870 kilometers south of Bangkok.
Our Hotel has a perfect location. 50 meters from Karon beach. Phukets most popular touristic areas are located on the west coast divided into four main beaches Patong Beach, Karon Beach, Kata Beachand Kata Noi Beach.
Our first impressions are like a love-hate relationship. Phuket is blessed with magnificent coves and bays, powdery, palm- fringed white beaches, sparkling island-dotted seas, sincerely hospitable people, comfortable accommodation, superb seafood, lushly forested mountains, lovely waterfalls and parks.
On the other hand Phuket is heavily developed. As a result, it is an absolute mess, with concrete everywhere, cheap bars, Signs on restaurants saying, "We speak swedish and serve swedish food", We even heard dansbandsmusik "swedish folkpop" from a bar with drunk vikings singing kareoke style.

After a quick plunge into the ocean we had some Thai food for dinner and ended the evening with fun shopping. It's such a fun to bargain...
