On the Beach in Phuket After a loooong flight and one aborted landing, in the rain, (don’t look surprised) we landed in Phuket only one hour late. Grabbed a taxi to the Marriott. Following in the footsteps of our son, we wanted to see some of the places he has been visiting since April and to meet him in Thailand for some time together in a faraway place. I think they make more from tourists now. They have electricity by generators. They now have running water piped from the mainland. The pipe runs under the sea. Each place that I looked into had flat screen TV's. Houses are small and they have a school on stilts also.

Want a wonderful time you seem to be having and the adventures are certainly not those found in WI or AZ!!! I assume you will be getting a pet "Jumbo" upon your return to the states!!? Keep the news coming!! :-)

Swimming with Elephants???
Now I've heard it all! Those are the funniest pictures. Especially the one of Marc napping with his new buddy. There's got to be a movie in all these adventures somewhere! So glad that you all were able to meet up half way around the world. I'm sure it was a great time together, but tough to leave - on you and Marc (even 31 year old men need their Mom's sometimes!) Safe travels back home to the good 'ol US of A.
