Bangkok receives either a love or hate reaction. Some people come from a day and either go North 12 hours to the villages there or South 12 hours to the Islands. I decided to take it slow and see a site a day. Spending my day snacking on street food and admiring a city that can be so busy but somehow still have a safe under control feeling.

Do: Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Siam Museum, Lumpini Park, Khao San, Park by Riverside Day Trip- Old Capital, Ayutthaya

Eat: EVERYTHING! Street food is cheap and delicious, From Pad Thai to Skewers, Papaya Salad, Fruit Shakes. Most foods are spicy so be aware.

Know: Never pay full price. Negotiate! Bring lots of extra spending money so lots of cheap clothes and fun items, wear sunscreen and drink lots of water

Bangkok is a great base for a trip to Thailand. While intimidating at first it can quickly make you feel like one of their own. From cheap bars to shopping, from huge temples to beautiful parks Bangkok truly has it all. Thailand is very close to many other south east asia countries and people often combine it with other countries although you could get lost in Thailand in its own right.
