Happy New Year everybody!

Hope you have all recovered from your celebrations and the final excesses of 2006. Thanks to Tom's friend Toby, who owns a bar out here, we were able to celebrate the New Year not just as a couple but with a group of people who live here on Phi Phi and know the ropes.

Our celebrations started earlier than usual, at 12 in the afternoon, when we boarded a private speed boat so we could go cruising around the bays here in style. A lot of snorkelling, swimming and beer consumption was had and we watched the final sunset of 2006 from our boat. Some of us peaked a little early but most made it back out for the midnight celebrations, the SangSom "bucket" cocktails they have out here and a 20 minute fireworks show on the beach.

Here's to a new resolution..
Hello my dears... Yes, I know I have been utterly rubbish at keeping in touch. But I always think I'm in touch with you cos I read your blog updates. Anyway, my apologies. I'll make iot one of my resolutions to be less slack on communication front. It sounds like you're having a tremendous time, and I really impressed by how much you've seen and done, and then still had time to communicate to us. Anyway, I really must dash.
