Happy New Year

Happy New Year from Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand, where we are celebrating with part 2 of our honeymoon.

We spent New Years Eve day on the beach (although the weather has been a bit mixed since we arrived on 28th), and the night at a beach party which involved the whole of the Had Yao families and was centred around the Eagle pub.

Ended up surrounded by a large group of older welsh folk, including several ladies dressed in glamourous formal wear - a bit surreal on a beach when you have had a few Chang beers, I can tell you - I thought I was at a Shirley Bassey tribute event!

Lots of balloon launches, fireworks, barking dogs, offers of a taxi to Had Rin etc - all you could wish for from a Had Yao NYE.

Hope you all had a good time, we wish you all the best for 2008 - we are back mid January....
