The StationThe StationThe Station

During the last few nights in Bangkok we discovered The Station. A outdoor bar set in a Shell Petrol Station!! Selling the ever so popular Sangsom Bucket! We spent some time sitting amongst the pumps :s
Amy here,

It has been a few days since our last entry on this blog as we have had a pretty busy schedule after arriving back in Bangkok. 6 off us from the up north group have now joined forces with 6 more new travellers and with a new guide, we have begun the second leg of our journey. So here goes with a longer post than usual.

We celebrated out last night in Bangkok with good food and drink and ended up in an Irish pub on Khao Sang Road. The place was filled with locals and travellers all having an awesome time. There was also a live band playing there everynight, covering many English songs - especially the Chili Peppers! Can't remember if we have mentioned it before or not but the Lead singer looks like a Thai Ozzy Osborne!

The next day we travelled on our second overnight train - and once again there was a party carriage! great fun. We arrived at Khao Sok National Park and stayed for 2 nights in bungalows in the middle of the jungle. We went tubing one afternoon (you sit in a big rubber ring and float down

In The Shamrock
the river along with the current) and saw a Gibbon at our destination. The next day we trekked further into the national park to see the scenery and spot some animals. Unfortunately it rained so heavily halfway in, it made it difficult to see any animals Also, everybody was soaked and more concerned with not falling over and avoiding leeches!! eek :s I was unlucky, and ended up with a bite on my leg and one on my bum!! 😞 The horrible Bug(ger) even sat at the bottom off my trousers until i took them off.

We have now left the National Park and just arrived in Krabi ( Ao Nang). The sea is calm and the beaches are amazing. The afternoon was spent lying on the beaches and swimming in the sea. It has been so relaxing and so nice to finally have some time out. Our schedule has been so busy with little time to stop. Now we can spend the next 3 days enjoying the beaches and nearby islands.

Take Care

p.s I have uploaded more photos to some of the older blogs as well so go check them out 😊
